While many Christmas traditions have been disrupted this season, the international audience that tunes in annually to hear “Carols from King’s” can carry on this year.
In the latest episode of Classically Speaking King’s College Cambridge Director of Music Daniel Hyde describes the care and planning that went into ensuring that the singers would be able to gather during this precarious time.
Before he took the position at King’s Hyde was the Organist and Director of Music at St. Thomas Church in New York. In this extra clip he described the similarity between the two choral experiences.
Choir directors work to shape the overall sound of their group. Here Hyde describes what he hopes audiences hear from the choir at King’s.
