Continuing to celebrate Local Composers Month means we’re also celebrating the completion of our first Student Composer Fellowship by enjoying the pieces our participants have written.

Nika Duncan is a rising sophomore at Centennial High School, where she plays in the orchestra. She got her start on piano at Nashville’s School of Rock. She studied instrumental music with Cristina Spinei.

All four participants in the fellowship have now had a digital premiere of a piece of music. We look forward to eventually having broadcast premieres for these pieces, when Live in Studio C resumes.
