Manual Cinema: Frankenstein

Chicago-based multimedia company Manual Cinema stitches together the classic story of Dr. Frankenstein with author Mary Shelley’s own biography to create a visually stunning theatrical epic about the beauty and horror of creation. Featuring a chamber orchestra, Manual Cinema’s Frankenstein combines handmade shadow puppetry, cinematic techniques, and innovative sound and music to create an immersive visual story.
VA Tennessee Valley: Expressive Arts As Medicine

The symposium is an opportunity for veterans who have experienced violence to celebrate healing through the arts. On display will be a wide variety of veterans art work along with program and agency vendors from the VA and the local community. Hands-on art activities will be offered by community agencies and veterans.
Chamber Music Series: Variations for Strings

Violist Judith Ablon and friends explore the art of theme and variations, with a passacaglia thrown in for good measure. The Nashville Symphony’s Chamber Music Series is an informal and interactive concert-going experience, with programming developed by members of the orchestra in a relaxed and casual setting.
